Scooby is the handsome red dog we bred from Murtle & Booker. He was what I was after in the litter - Booker's body with Murtle's head and we are very pleased with how he turned out. He is was a late maturer, not really reaching his form until over 4 yrs of age. The photo above is him just before 4 years of age in a totally free standing shot which is why he is a bit overstretched but otherwise in balance.

Though not a big dog (15 1/3 inches) he is very standard with his level topline and great movement as he is very well constructed. Top that off with a nicely shaped head, blackest of black pigmentation and a beautiful pump handle tail, it all adds up to a dog with something to offer. He is proving to be a stud dog of note with no misses so far on bitches that have previously missed.

In the show ring he has been shown sparingly due to his owner's being real estate agents and therefore working most weekends, he was only shown when I could pick him up. He has done very well under those judges who appreciate construction & a very standard dog who is not exagerrated. He has now stepped aside for his progeny to be shown plus it's too far for me to get to Newcastle to pick him up.

As a stud dog he has sired seven litters so far and we are very happy with what he is producing - so far multiple All Breeds in Show Winners & Specialty in Show Winners, his terrific pigment and body coming through strongly. He has 5 pups from 3 litters titled with another 3 being over half way to their titles. He is a great dog for those who do not want to loose what they have in their bitches as he only adds to what your bitch has.
