Amren is our keeper from Rune and Specter’s ACOTAR litter in late 2024.
Amren brings together a lovely pedigree packed full of beautiful and multi-talented dogs.
She is bold and confident, holding her own in a multi-dog household, though sometimes with a slight lack of self preservation.
She's very social and is friendly with other dogs and other breeds. She is very quick to learn with plenty of willingness and drive.
Amren started her performance career off at the young age of 9 months where she completed her Herding Test with ease. She has since been working towards her Pretrial test, with both of us learning more about stock control and movement. We are hopeful for more herding trial success in the future.
As a puppy, she had a few opportunities to complete puppy runs at Lure Coursing, which set her up nicely to understand Sprint Dog when she turned 1. She picked up the points required for her Sprint Dog Novice Title in her first three runs.
In the next few runs she achieved a PB of over 40km/h and achieved her Sprint Dog Title
At 15 months old, after an extended break between her season and Christmas, she gained her final of three passes to achieve her Rally Novice Title with ease. Her enthusiasm and joy is contageous and she is a pleasure to work with, though with the introduction of a jump and some more controlled exersizes moving up to Advanced, we had to focus on calm keenness to get us through. She picked up her Rally Advanced Title with ease, over the next three weekends.
Amren also started towards her Starter Tricks when she turned 1, and did some wonderful work with her same joy and energy as she has for Rally, to achieve her Trick Dog Starter Title at the Western Classic.
Mid 2026 Amren achieved both her Heelwork To Music Starter Title and Freesyle Starter Title with 1st - 3rd placings in 5 out of 6 of her qualifiers.
Amren continues to try new things and loves the variety. In winter of 2026, we are focusing mainly on our very short Dryland Sledding season, with some agility trials in between.
We also continue to appear in the show ring when time permits.
