Devina is everything I hoped a Nimeria family dog could be—gentle, dependable and deeply connected to the people she loves.
She has a quiet confidence about her. She doesn't need to demand attention or be the centre of every moment; she's simply happiest being close to her family, whether that's relaxing at home, heading out on an adventure or sharing everyday life together.
Training Devina has always been a pleasure. She is one of the most intuitive and willing dogs I've had the privilege of raising. She listens carefully, learns quickly and genuinely enjoys working with her people, making her an absolute joy to live and train with.
That natural temperament has allowed Devina to work alongside Lachlan as his autism support dog. She moves confidently through busy public environments, travels comfortably on public transport and remains calm, thoughtful and reliable in the situations that matter most.
Away from work, Devina reminds me that life is meant to be enjoyed. Swimming, pool days, chasing the garden hose and spending time with her family are among her favourite things. She's affectionate without being demanding and has an incredible ability to make the people around her feel settled.
As a breeding female, Devina has exceeded every expectation I had for her. Watching her first litter mature confirmed everything I hoped she would pass on—confidence, resilience, intelligence and an extraordinary ability to form genuine partnerships with their families. Those qualities are exactly why I chose to repeat her pairing with Strider.
