Aust Ch Planhaven Bigadoon
He is a proven sire with his first litter having good strong heads and heavy bone. As a bonus Doon is Hip Scored 0.0. Elbows 0. 0. and is Cystinuria free. Doon has now lived up to his promise going Best In Show at the N.S.W. Newfoundland Speciality Championship Show September 9th under Lynn Brand of Bernese Mountain Dog Fame. With this win he also wins Best Newfoundland Dog 2006 N.S.W. Newf Club Point Score for Metropolitan Shows.
Doon has the ideal temprament for the breed being of a calm and placid nature and free of agression with other stud dogs. Doon went Intermediate in Show at Southern Highlands Kennel Club Show {M. Boyd) N.Z. in October and in November Intermediate in Show with 3 international judges puting him through at the Spring Fair.
Unfortunately Bigadoon had one bad habit of jumping 6 foot fences when he saw a rabbit and did this one time too many in 2008 and much to my sorrow injured his back so badly he had to be put to sleep. He is very much missed but at least has many lovely offspring so he will not be forgotten.
