Ginger is a most precious and treasured gift from Lee & Frank Pieterse of the world famous Statuesque Kennels. Ginger came to us as an untitled 18 month old in late 1996. With her breathtaking,balanced clean movement & great ring presence, Ginger titled in a few short months taking multi best In Groups along the way & by November 1997, was the Whippet & Greyhound club Whippet Of The Year.In that same year, she won Best In Show at the Whippet & Greyhound Club specialty under hound specialist and whippet breeder, Mr. Wayne Burton. ginger continued to dominate the ring for the next 5 years winning 4 all breeds Best In Show, 4 Runner-up Best In Show,some 25 Best In group & 15 Runner-up Best In Group awards. As an 8 year old in 2002, Ginger won the SA Hound Club Shazada Hound Of The Year and at the Royal Adelaide Show was BOB whippet (entry 80) & on to Best In Group 3rd. She qualified for the Contest Of Winners at the 1st Whippet National.

Ginger boasts an enviable pedigree, her dam Joy was Reserve In group at Crufts and Best In Show at the Sydney Royal. In turn, her sire was the first whippet to win Best In Show at Crufts.
This super bitch mentored countless junior handlers including my daughter Shannon who she steered to overall winner of the Pedigree Junior Showmanship state finals in 2004.
Ginger was retired from the ring at 9 years of age after a sudden debilitating illness, she eventually recovered and is now rising 13. She is a very happy old whippet who follows me everywhere I go on our 16 acre property & spends her days doing what ever she likes.
