Ch Firebush Let It Be (Maya), is from our first homebred flatcoated retriever litter born late 2006. She is the first liver flatcoat to be shown regularly in Tasmania to our knowledge. She has been a steady challenge winner at the breed level and has several class in group awards to her name. She also qualified for the 2007 Puppy of the Year competition in Tasmania. The highlights for 2008 included two junior in group wins early in 2008 and best of breed at Hobart Royal, the first liver flatcoat to win a best of breed at a Royal we believe. In 2009 Maya finished the points needed for her championship title.

Her strong retrieving abilities have allowed us to commence retrieving training with her. She has an outstanding retriever temperament and is an easy bitch to live with. Maya gained her championship title in August 2009.

In March 2011 Maya was mated to Ch Bushman Live and Learn using frozen semen. On May 25 she gave birth to 15 puppies, 12 of which survived. From this litter we kept a liver male Firebush The Wicked Truth. In late 2012 Maya will have her second and final litter.
