Australian Champion Happyblack Flirty Gertie
Bred, owned and handled by Fran & Amy McIver of Happyblack Labrador Retrievers.
Gertie is our first homebred Australian Champion bitch from our very first Happyblack litter. Her litter brother Aust Ch Happyblack Spruce Bruce and litter sister Aust Ch Happyblack Sassy Lassie have also had great success in the show ring.
At just 19 months of age, with limited showing and always competing in the same class against her brother, Gertie has achieved a lot of "Firsts" for the Happyblack Kennel:
* Titled at 12 months & 10 days;
* The first Happyblack to be awarded a R/U Best in Group in NSW;
* Awarded R/U Best in Group from the Puppy Class;
* The first Happyblack to be awarded a Class in Show (over 61 all breed entries no less);
* 12 Class in Group and Sweepstake Awards; and
* The first Happyblack to be awarded a First in Sweepstakes (over 23 all breed baby puppies).
