Aust Ch Sleykh Cacao Chuao
Cino's mum, INT Ch FIN Ch EST Ch Tahtitaivaan Emmi arrived in Australia in April 2010. Emmi was the very first Portuguese Podengo (Pequeno) to arrive in Australia & she was imported in whelp to Cino's dad, Portuguese bred Pastel Da Praia Do Ribatejo.
Cino has just started in the show ring but showing is just a small part of this busy little dog's life. He is a friendly, outgoing little guy who loves meeting new people. Sweet natured & smart he keeps everyone in his household on their toes.
Cino is a wonderful example of this primitive hunting breed. He displays their alert expression and intense interest in his surroundings. Cino is correct height and proportion and conforms very closely to standard.
These little hounds are used extensively for hunting in their native Portugal and are best known for flushing rabbits from warrens while their larger Podengo Medio cousins take chase.
Hardy & outgoing, loving and loyal, these little dogs are the ultimate companion. They are just as happy indoors or belting around the back yard with the kids or chasing a ball in the park.
