Aust Ch Shiraden Abby
I chose Abby as her breeding and her type would complement Chip who I already owned.
Abby's show career was limited but still got her title with ease.
She was a Runner Up Best In Group winner, Best of Breed at Spring Fair, multiple class in group and in show winner.
At Sydney Royal Easter Show 2005 we won 7 of the 8 classes with dogs owned or bred by us. Abby won open bitch and lined up in the challenge with her 3 grand daughters standing behind her(another had placed 3rd in the open class). It was a proud moment to see. She won the challenge then went on to beat her son for Best Of Breed. On General Specials day Abby was shortlisted to the final 8 for Best in Group.
As a brood bitch Abby was outstanding. She had 4 litters over her life and produced 5 champions and 1 grand champion.
One son was a Puppy of the Year winner and multiple Best in Show winner and is the youngest grand champion in the history of the breed. Another son is the youngest Pointer ever to win a Best of Breed at a Royal.
Her progeny is featured heavily in the pedigrees of not only the stock at Barragan but also the dogs of Tintookie kennels.
