Aust Dual Ch(FLD & SH) Tobenlee Misty O Dee.N.R.D
She was a Beautifull Brittany to live with as well as a DYNAMO in the field.
When Dee Dee went on point it was a spine tingling experience and even non Britt folk would gasp at how fast she was and how animated she was on point she was a very trust worthy NATURAL BACKER which made life pretty comfortable when running in Trials.
The Field Trial competitors hated to draw Laurie and Dee Dee in the Trials as they were THE PAIR YOU HAD TO BEAT and that was no easy matter.
When Laurie and Dee Dee ran in Field trials it was like they were mentally connected ,she knew exactly where the quail were and what the boss expected of her. She would out fox her brace mate to get to the birds before they did and before you knew what had hit you Laurie had two or three top retrieves in his bag and that bloody little Britt was in the lead again.
Dee Dee was one of the very best Retrieving dogs around at the time she would mark the fall of game so precisely that NOTHING would make her deviate off that straight line to the game.
You knew that when Laurie sent her,wether it was a blind water retrieve or a difficult land retrieve or a straight forward one Dee Dee would Always come back with her prize.
We miss her ENORMOUSLY and we thank her for being part of our lives.This dog,if seen in the field was never forgotten!
We are so lucky to still have quite a few of Dee Dee's Grand kids available to us for breeding.
So hopefully in the not too distant future we WILL see another Dee Dee hunting the fields of Victoria again.
