Judge Profile

I became interested in Dobermanns when I met my wife, Denise in 1988. She owned two Red Dobes at the time, Celestion Caprice and Martyn Zared Lad (Imp NZ).

I cannot imagine ever being without at least one Dobe. Currently there are 10 Dobes living here plus Estelle (Boxer), Dotti (French Bulldog) and Crush (Min Pin).

I have been privileged to be the owner of Ch Schameland Kokomo & Ch Scharmeland Linen N Lace and co-owner with Denise of BIS/BISS Ch Tornadobe Marty Robbins CD, Ch Keldoone Raise Yourbets, Ch Aegis Bold Enchantress WAC, BIS Ch Cabochon Caughtcha Lookn, BIS Ch Jenson Feel The Heat, Walamara Moon Tide (AI) and Am/Can Ch Starlaine West Side Story (Imp USA).

Ch Myown Late Nite Mission (AI) was the first Australian Champion for his sire Am Ch Kaywood's Clear Nite Mission. I also co-bred and co-owned several champions with Ian, Barbara & Greg Alexander of Walamara Dobermanns.

We are currently campaigning 4 Dobes - Multi BIS Ch/Neut Ch Celestion Walk the Line At Aegis (Imp NZ), Ch Aegis Grace Slick, Aegis The Night Manager (AI) and Aegis To Kill A Mockingbird (AI).

I took my interest in dogs a step further a few years ago and am licensed to judge Group 6 at Championship level. I am also an accredited assessor for future Utility Group judges.

I have judged the Utility Group in WA, Victoria and Queensland and in February 2014 was honoured to be contracted to judge the Central Districts Dobermann Club Champ Show and Utility Group for Horowhenua Kennel Association.
