Est 1989. I am a small kennel located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Breeder of quality Rhodesian Ridgebacks of Australian and International bloodlines. My dogs appear in many outstanding pedigrees around Australia, Europe and America. I strive for excellent temperaments, consistency of type and soundness. Always trying to breed better. I am very particular about the breedings I do often spending hours thinking about the right combinations of bloodlines.

All my puppies are raised in the family home, my older dogs are all walked regularly and socialised as much as possible. Puppies bred for the family pet or show/field competitions.

Established since 1989 .Started with a team of hunting ridgebacks and progressed to showing and some obedience. Our main success started with our first big winning dog, Kudu who was a multi best in show winner at all breed level. His many wins include major shows in Melbourne. To this date he is the only ridgeback to win best of breed at 3 different royals and have both placing's in groups including best in group at Hobart Royal.
Kinshasa Rhodesian Ridgebacks, home of #1 RR 2006 #1 RR 2007 Dogzonline, Grand Champion Kinshasa Special K. Breeding quality RR litters occasionally for show, companion and hunting .Kudu is the number one top winning Rhodesian Ridgeback for the past 4 years in his home state of Victoria,and has been in the top 5 in the hound group on Dogzonline for the past 4 years.
Our current Boy Sup & Gr Ch Kinshasa Bronzed Aussie ( Bondi ) was number #1 In Victoria Dogzonline & currently leads the national Ridgeback point score. Our newest memebr to our kennel is GrCh Kinhsasa Golden Firefox ( Sansa ) has taken many in group awards from limited showing. After a 2 year break I bred Sansa to Ch Caprivi run the Gauntlet ( IKE ) and the result was one puppy who we called HULK. We will run this boy on and see how he develops . At his first 3 shows Hulk has won Baby of Group at major show and Baby of show at the RRCV ch show 2019. We are expecting big things from this young boy.

Breeding for Type, Temperament and Soundness since 1995.

We have been Showing and Breeding Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 30 years, producing multiple Champions, Grand Champions, Best in Show and Best in Specialty Show winners. In saying that, our dogs are a loved part of our family first and foremost. They have stolen not just our couches and our bed, but our hearts.

At Otesha Rhodesian Ridgebacks, we don't have time to build commercial looking websites, because when we aren't working to support our dogs we are spending time with them, they're our fur-family. We don't have a regular abundance of puppies, as we are not running a kennel, our dogs are our loved pets.

However when we do breed, all our Ridgebacks are x-rayed and scored for Hip & Elbow Dysplasia prior to the breeding taking place. They are also DNA tested for Degenerative Myelopathy (Clear) & JME (Clear).
Our puppies live inside our house where they learn to be part of the family and leave our home vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and come with an 18kg bag of food, bowl, collar & lead, bed, cuddle teddy, toys, treats, worming tablet and an information booklet.
More importantly you receive true lifetime support which includes phone, message and email support, and free training sessions for anyone who lives within an hour travel, or is willing to travel to us.

Kamania Rhodesian Ridgebacks are located in Bendigo Victoria.

I have been involved with this Majestic breed since 1995 but, it all started in the mid 70's when I was much younger. My Uncle introduced me to his Rhodesian Ridgeback- via film and photos, from when he lived and worked in Rhodesia, (now Zimbabwe) with the locals and their families. I fell instantly in love at the beauty of his dog 'Caesar' and the wonderful stories he would tell me.

As it would turn out- 20 years later, when I was to purchase my first dog, it had to be a Rhodesian Ridgeback.

My first 3 Rhodesian Ridgebacks have since gone to the Rainbow Bridge and it is their qualities I strive to achieve in my breeding program.

Exceptional temperament, soundness and beauty are the key elements to selectively produce the occasional litter- either for the show ring or for loving family pets. All dogs used for breeding have had their hips and elbows x-rayed and scored. Also a full DNA profile is done for each dog prior to breeding to check for health issues that can affect Rhodesian Ridgebacks- i.e. DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), JME (Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy). Puppies are checked at birth (and then weekly) for Dermoid Sinus. Full breeder support is given to each and every puppy bred by me, I am always available to answer any questions or help out when needed.

Ujamaa kennels- breeders of champions and companions since 1978. We have owned or bred over 40 Champions, but show rarely these days. Our primary objective is to breed sound companions. Our current companions are Ujamaa The Third Man- or Derrick, Aust Ch Ujamaa Alessandra Facchinetti (Allie) and Ujamaa Winx, daughter of Int Ch Vizara Jukati and Allie.

I have a particular interest in genetic diseases and dogs we breed with are routinely screened for sound hips, elbows and degenerative myelopathy (DM). Some lines are also screened for cardiac issues by ultrasound and/or hypothyroidism.

We also work with Cat Glenn and family- they are owned by Zuri and Rosie. Fran Parsons and her pack are also in "the family"

Mzilakazi have been breeding show champions and family companions since 1985, focused on breeding dogs sound in both body and mind. All our breeding stock are x-rayed for hips and elbows, and also now DNA tested for DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) and JME (Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy), as well as heart-tested.

Lesley's love of Ridgebacks began during her teen years growing up in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), and Graeme came on board a few years later, taking to this wonderful breed like a duck to water :-).

Pups are raised in a home environment and are well socialised. They are screened at birth for Dermoid Sinus, which continues until they leave us, and are vaccinated, microchipped and routinely wormed prior to going to their new homes.

Mzilakazi are proud to have bred and owned Best in Show and Runner Up Best in Show (ALL Breeds) winners as well as Best in Specialty Show/Runner Up in Specialty Show winners, but our dogs are foremost our beloved companions.

Our journey started in 2017 when we were introduced to Greg and Rowhin from Zambuana Lodge, NSW when we purchased our very first Ridgeback. We haven't looked back since and look forward to continuing our great relations with them throughout the years.

We purchased our first Rhodesian Ridgeback 'Jera' in 1992 and quickly fell in love with her and this very loyal breed in general. Jera was our foundation bitch and had her first litter in 1995. That was the start of a long journey under the 'Sahwira' prefix. We have always bred for good temperament and conformation. We have bred, loved and owned many champions. Our dogs have always been well socialised and obedience trained and have been a big part of family life and loved by all. Many of our Ridgebacks have found their forever homes with families with children who love them dearly.
All of our breeding stock are xrayed and DNA tested.

At Zenridge we strive to breed Ridgebacks of sound temperament and health.

Following a decade of owning Rhodesian Ridgebacks and falling in love with the breed, we have taken the next step with our newest Ridgeback Nala, attending conformation shows and receiving her Champion Title in late 2023. We were in awe seeing how our beautiful Nala and her exceptional temperament developed as she grew, hence our journey to conformation showing and breeding. We are in the process of establishing our kennel with our first litter being anticipated later this year. All puppies will be raised in our home environment around other pets, and will be regularly exposed to babies, toddlers and older children. When puppies leave for their new homes they will come vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and with a puppy pack containing items you need to ensure the best transition into your home.
