Hello welcome to Hardog kennels. we are a small hobby kennels located in the Southern Flinder's ranges . Hardog working bloodlines come from Australia & imported from European working blood lines. our dogs are hard hitting muscle machines, lightning fast, powerful serious dogs. they are active, energetic, confident, Intelligent, have a high prey drive, have hard nerves perfect grip & are man stoppers, at the same time they maintain & display a good temperament are stable & balanced. we strive to preserve healthy balanced working Hardogs. the genetics & pedigree of each breeding plays a large role in what our working dogs will be used for. we work on a good dog foundation. we care & train, communicating, building a Hardog for the real world.Our dogs are bred for military,law enforcement,security,personal or family protection & dog sports. Our Belgian Shepherds are first and foremost our much loved pets and companions.

We only have Belgian Shepherds (Malinois and Laekenois), and their health, happiness, lifestyle and performance is paramount in everything we do.

Belgian Shepherds can excel in any field you choose- Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Endurance, Lure Coursing, Herding, Weightpull or Dryland Sledding. Our adult Belgian Shepherds train and compete in some of the above disciplines, and they also participate in conformation shows.

We believe they should be 'fit for purpose' - which means instinctive herding ability, coupled with fitness and intelligence, to willingly perform any task required.

Belgian Shepherds are a very affectionate breed, and have an immense desire to please, creating extremely loyal and devoted companions. They are ideal family pets, bonding closely with children, and they can also be raised with other pets.

We heath test above and beyond what is recommended for the breed, including hips, elbows, DNA, cardiac and more.

Our breeding philosophy
We know the importance of starting with robust breeding practices - and we only breed dogs with proven working line pedigrees for their robust temperaments. Well bred working line Malinois can be trained in just about anything - from highly effective military and police dogs to family companions keeping a watchful eye on your home.

Our dogs
Our breeding girls are part of our family, they live with us on our property and are an integral part of our lives. Our breeding girls are part of our pack, which includes an old Malinois boy, an Australian Cobberdog, alpacas, sheep and chickens. We train our dogs for family and farm life. Our puppies are raised with children, animals, and daily life exposures to ensure their early development prepares them to be ideal companion dogs.

Setting puppies up for success
We work hard to ensure successful placements of our Malinois puppies.
Belgian Malinois require and thrive on training and strong relationships with their people.
We invest time in the placement of all our dogs to ensure that when they go home, they are set up for success. All our puppies and their new homes are provided with support to ensure a successful partnership. Our puppies leave us with limited, non-breeding pedigrees (full breeding pedigrees can be negotiated), vet checked, microchipped, wormed, vaccinated and registered with the ANKC.
