My kennel has been established since 1992 and had its roots in the United Kingdom. I strive to breed a Border Terrier meeting all the confirmation, temperament and health standards which make this natural undocked breed, so distinctive. All puppies are home reared and very well handled and socialised, to enable them to comfortably handle either a life in the show ring or in a family home.
My terriers are represented in 18 countries as show dogs or family pets.
Pet Puppies. We make no apologies for screening where these will be placed and you must:
* be a home owner
* have someone home much of the day
* have excellent secure fencing
* be prepared to attend Puppy Preschool
* be able to afford any Vet Bills that can sometimes be expensive
* Desex your Puppy by 8 months at the latest
* will register puppy with your Council & transfer the M/Chip to yourself
* will keep in touch with us and return the puppy to us if your circumstances change
Breeding only occasionally. Temperament, soundness, type are all considerations for breeding quality puppies at Lisgar Kennels. Enquires welcome though I do not keep a waiting list as I breed so infrequently.
Chanpema Kennels was established in 1995 with our first Labrador CH ELORAC BORIS BROWN (Boris) from ELORAC Kennels. In 2004 We introduced the Border Terrier after falling in love with their personalities. Apamura Ralph Lauren was then introduced to our Kennels, sine this time we have been successful with our Border terriers, making up a Grand champion and several champions. Chanpema Kennels breeds for temperament, soundness and quality. At CHANPEMA kennels we breed for quality not quantity.

Established in 1965, we are the most long standing Border Terrier Breeders in New Zealand. We are a small private Boutique kennel breeding the occasional litter of outstanding quality Border Terriers with excellent temperament, health and conformation.
Home of New Zealand's Best Border of the Year in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010, NZ Ch Guilcroft Red Ochre (Border Terrier Club of NZ), who is also NZ's Top Border Terrier on the DoL score for 2008,2009 and 2010 - a record that still remains to be beaten.
Oak has long since crossed the rainbow bridge but his bloodline goes on through his progeny.

Burrowa does not keep a chronological placement list, as placing puppies is not a linear process, but involves finding the right home for the a particular unique pup. A small kennel, we are based in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. Burrowa breeds for true Border Terrier type and temperament, respecting the traditions of the past, the requirements of the present day and the dreams of the future. I have a small number of dogs, who share my life, house and farm. Having been very successful in the ring in the past, Burrowa currently show infrequently, continuing to produce Border Terriers who are not only wonderful dog companions, but many of whom also excel in the show-ring, at stud, and in dog activities such as agility and earth dog. Puppies are infrequently available.
Having always loved the Border Terriers, Oscar is our first of many I am sure. He is the constant and loyal companion of Miss Emily, who just adores him. He has everyone wrapped around his paw.

Trixie has her show ring title and is currently competing in the agility ring.She has her excellent jumping title, agility title and strategic pairs title and gamblers title.She will resume competition in July2018 after having puppies which have all been sold.

After showing and breeding Staffordshire Bull Terriers for over 40 years we were looking for a smaller breed with the same steady nature (although nothing will ever take the place of all the Staffords!) and the Border Terrier fits the bill perfectly.
While in Australia our prefix was Blackshot, as the kennel name Warmaster which Sandra first registered in NZ in 1980 for the Staffords is not available in Australia.
We are very proud to have been entrusted with such amazing dogs as our foundation.
Our first Border was Rebus - Sup Ch Bohunt Hue And Cry SE. Tragically killed by a snake February 2019. Our incredible introduction to this beautiful breed.
Ch Blackshot A Bit Of Reckon from our first Border litter won Best In Show at the Sporting Terrier Club of Queensland February 2020 Championship show - at 9.5 months of age.
Ch Blackshot Act of Dog from our second Border litter won Runner Up to Best in Show at this same show 2 years later.
We are looking forward to getting our two latest boys in the ring in New Zealand, from our third and forth Border litters.

Over 21 years ago I discovered the lovely Border Terrier. I found this wee dog had personality and would be great to share my life with and would enjoy my favorite sport of Dog Agility. Although my first BT Tamalee who was with us for 17 1/2 years passing on 21/1/21 didn't love agility as much as I'd hoped, my subsequent BT's have.
My second BT was Kenzy, an exceptional girl. We made a great competing team in Agility. I lost her tragically in 2016. It's a loss I still struggle with every day.
Kenzy was the reason I decided to breed, she had so many great qualities, one of which was producing sound, healthy, happy puppies. Kenzy's daughter Piper has followed her mother in producing the same type of puppies.
The BT is an all-round type dog, a family member, a working dog, quick learners, they are busy, cheeky at times - they are Terriers, they can be cuddly, a lap dog, Piper, Tweed Star, Isla and WonderFul all love cuddles. Piper retired early due to Covid, Tweed Star, and WonderFul all compete with me in agility.
Once you meet a BT you will be in love with this breed for ever.

Working in the veterinary industry in the UK, I was introduced to the Border Terrier, falling in love with the breed, I have never looked back!
My love for showing Border Terriers began in 2012 and we have now grown into a brand new registered kennel located in North East Victoria.
My foundation bitch is 'Fernbrook Cherry on Top'. She has been lightly shown reaching her Australian Championship title.
My first owned Border Terrier 'Swanlander Ruby Rose' has also been show, achieving her Australian Neuter Championship title.
I am currently showing my first bred bitch ‘Bromleybel Apple Jill’ with success. Jilly has achieved numerous best of breed, challenge, Baby Puppy, Minor Puppy and Puppy in Group wins.

We have owned and lightly shown Border Terriers since 1991. Entering the dog world in 1972, handling, showing, breeding and judging Golden Retrievers in the UK. Our dog numbers always very small due to working professions and living overseas and interstate.
We now have time to concentrate on our Borders.
We will always use the best bloodlines we can from overseas and in Australia and breed with much care and attention. We will only use SLEM Clear or Hereditary SLEM Clear stud dogs and bitches.

We have bred Pointers for 40 years, and Border Terriers for 20+ years, living in rural Canterbury N.Z. Pointers hold a special place in our hearts, but Lyn always wanted a 'country terrier' and eventually settled on the Border Terrier. Two main things attracted her to Borders, their easy-going temperament and ability to peacefully co-exist with other dogs. Border Terriers are now our main breed.
We are lucky to have had the help of several people over the years with our breeding.
First of all the late Robert Bartram, ("Craigend", NSW Aust) who sold us our first Border in the year 2000. He had a lifetime's experience in Borders, knew all the important breeders in the UK, and always was willing to help us.
Joy Wangler ("Kalan" Ballarat, Aust). Joy was kind enough to let us use her highly successful import Aust Grand CH & Fin & NZ CH Foxforest One for the Road (Jesse). This enabled us to breed our Ziggi (Ch.Barton Theta) who was both a successful sire and a winner in the showring. Using our Jesse frozen semen we recently bred our Carlos (Ch.Barton Blues and Twos). We cannot thank Joy enough for this and her extremely generous help and support over the years.
Pip Graham ("Bramble" N.Z.), Stu Mintrom, & Gail O'Keefe for breeding our CH Bramble Country Road. "Sage" is the matriarch of our Borders, a daughter of the lovely "Jorja" and all our current Borders descend from her.

I am a veterinarian that has the occasional litter of pups.
Puppies will be microchipped, vaccinated and have routine parasite control. They come with a registered pedigree and 6 weeks complimentary puppy insurance.
They also come with a lifetime of free veterinary advice.
Puppies will be crate trained, exposed children, chooks, quad bikes and car rides.
I spent many years working in the UK and fell in love with the breed. I got my first Border Terrier 15 years ago when they were very uncommon in Australia.
My darling Truffle has had her final litter - 5 gorgeous pedigree border terrier puppies, 2 girls & 3 boys. My little darlings are raised inside with lots of love, cuddles & playfulness & with outdoor adventuring & sun-puddling spells throughout the day. Toilet training has begun, as has recall training. Since the litter was born, they've had a lot of adoring visitors, adults & children alike. They also have their big half-sister (Bramble) to play with, which they love, Bramble especially! All of the puppies have absolutely gorgeous little characters & are ever so happy, healthy, affectionate & playful. And they all really, really love cuddles! Lovely temperament - both parents are very family-orientated & joyful which has been passed onto their puppies.
They’ve been wormed fortnightly, microchipped, vet checked & have had their first vaccination. They all come with a limited pedigree registration i.e., family pets, not for breeding, unless otherwise requested. They will be ready for her forever, adoring home from the 14th of August.
