Since our induction to the breed 15 yrs ago back in 1993, we have to date personally Imported a total of 7 Shiba Inu directly from Japan. All of which were personally selected by both Shiba Specialist / Judges for our kennel.

With this it has been possible to maintain our own type & lines over that time, which also enabled us to keep any breed problems to be kept to a minimum.

In all this time we have to date not bred a cream puppy either from our original imports,so the gene is presumably not carried in those lines.

Breeders to date of: of 1 Australia - New Zealand Champion. 1 New Zealand Champion & 16 Australias Champions.

Although we enjoy great success in the show rings, our Shibas are always family first and are usually found making themselves comfortable on our couches & beds. Our Shibas' health & happiness is of the utmost importance to us.

We are not a "Kennel Facility" and as such do not keep a large number of dogs. We breed selectively & only when we wish to keep a puppy for ourselves, additional puppies are then available to only the best of homes. All babies are raised in our home, no expense is spared to ensure them the very best start to life.

We have only had this breed since 2014 when our daughter was given a puppy, however have been successfully showing and breeding Pomeranians and Standard Poodles in excess of 30 years. We acquired our first Shiba in 2015 imported a male from the famous Kagiyasou kennel in Japan bred by Mr Mori.

We purchased a beautiful pup in 2016 bred under the Dazind kennel with the type of Japanese lines we would like to continue. We are particularly interested in the Japanese or Nippo type and this is what we will base our future litters on. Also adding a Chrisharod bitch to our family in 2017 having kept a bitch from our own prefix in 2016, we have titled all 5 of our showdogs to their Champion status. Taiyou our Japanese dog has achieved his Grand Champion status and recently attained his Supreme title winning Best in Show and Runner up Best in Show. Taiyou won Best of Breed at Brisbane Royal 2016 (under Chie Ejima - Japan) and in 2017 as well as Best of Breed Sept 2016 under specialist Mr Satoshi Besho (Japan) who gave a glowing critique of him and more recently under a Japanese specialist at a show in July 2018. Taiyou is available at stud to approved bitches with certain conditions.

We closely follow the Japanese Nippo breed standard and have been mentored by experienced Nippo breeders over the past a few years. In 2017, we proudly imported Nippo award winner stud dog and a Nippo bitch to our kennel. The Nippo puppies also come with a pedigree paper issued by Japanese Dog Preservation Society showing the parents’ award wining history back in Japan.
