I have had whippets for well over 25 years now, Mostly as my much loved pets. I have hunted with them and raced them for years and have now decided to continue on with them in the show ring as well as Lure coursing.

Our whippets here consist of American and English lines mostly but some Australian blood as well.

Berinswift whippets promote the promise 'bred for better breeding'. This kennel was established in 1987 and boasts to be the first Australian kennel to have a whippet qualify for and attain a class place at Crufts. A selective breeding program means that puppies are sometimes available to discerning homes. Support and guidance is available to owners as required. A Berinswift whippet is comfortable in the show ring, is a perfect companion and enjoys chasing a lure.

Berinswift KK Limited Edition (AI) was shown at The Whippet Club NSW 2023 Speciality under Editha Newton (UK) of Nevidith Whippets, this is her critique of Bazil.

Our first whippet, a rescued boy named 'Max', came into our lives about 20 years ago. Our lovely boy stole our hearts, played endlessly with our young children and managed to rid our small farm of rabbits for good measure. We have had an affinity with whippets ever since.

We then moved into the pedigree dog world with the purchase of Calahorra Zerlina - 'Lola'.
Lola had her first litter in 2018, giving us the beautiful Deevaux Pam Beesly - 'Beesly'; who has grown into a stunning young girl. Beesly had her first litter in 2020, giving us our third wonderful girl, Deevaux Violet Bucket “Molly”.

Whippets have been a wonderful addition to our family, and a great example of the joy that they bring to a home: small enough to cuddle up on your lap, big enough to rough house with the kids, gentle as a lamb, and fast enough to overtake seagulls at the beach.

Our whippets live with us in our home, indoors and out, thrive on their Raw Meaty Bones (RMB) diet, and are wonderfully healthy dogs with loving and gentle dispositions.

We aim to breed occasionally to produce sound, English style whippets; with gentle personalities, excellent confirmation, and a keen eye for the chase - just what these beautiful dogs were originally developed for.

I joined dogs Victoria in 1989 with my first Siberian Husky under the prefix Sibenik, showing racing and breeding for many years, until my first whippet came along in 2015 (Lexi).
Then in 2017 I acquired the gorgeous Rikki, Terraway Fire And Reign, from Wayne and Teresa Parkinson.
Rikki has proven herself as a wonderful breeding bitch producing some beautiful dogs, from her first litter Whippawill Alpine King (Dougie) and from her latest litter Whippawill Far Away In Time (Echo) who resides with Terraway.

Whippawill has a lovely girl from Melissa, Wickedleigh Pagan (Sophie) who is doing very well in the show ring.

After a lifetime of owning , breeding, showing and competing in obedience with German Shepherd dogs, I have recently re- established my prefix Zapotec to concentrate my attention on whippets, discovered somewhat by chance, and now my constant companions.
Kanati Goddess of the Vanir, Freyja, is my foundation girl, now kept company by her daughter , Bronacre Pandora, who is currently training in obedience, and daughter, Zapotec Geisha.

Zapotec puppies are healthy, friendly family oriented puppies, with outgoing temperaments. Puppies are initially raised indoors, and then conditioned to an indoor/ outdoor environment.

Gold Country is located in Country Victoria. Our dogs are raised in a tranquil country setting and are very much a part of our family, they are involved in everything we do such as bush walking, motor bike riding, swimming in the dams. Jedda has participated in Lure Coursing however not at a competitive level.

Our Our breeding program pays particular attention to temperament, soundness and health. All puppies are Vet checked & immunized prior to joining their new family. At Isilwane Kennels we breed Ridgebacks - not dogs. But we're also home of MBIS/MRUBIS/BISS Aust Gr/Am Ch Ridgesetter Fly the Flag ET SC, aka Electra the Wicked Whippet. A consistent performer in the show ring, she finished her 20km ET with ease and came back to us in 2006 after spending 18 months holding her own in the US in conformation (Specialty Select & Multiple Group placings) and her new game - lure coursing. These days she is semi-retired from the show ring but her 11 Champion children (so far) and now grandchildren are "flying her flag proudly". If you've got and Isilwane Whippet - you've got Electra on your pedigree - what more could you want.

And the Whippets are multiplying (but don't tell the Ridgebacks) - we must have fed them after midnight and let them get wet!!! Also resident at Isilwane are Charlie (BISS Gr Ch Tezer Feel Free to Stare), Zest (BIS/RUBIS Ch Isilwane Flag Bearer ET) and our return package Nugget (RUBISS Ch Isilwane Jolly Roger) who is now proving his worth in the whelping box. Coeurdelamer Whippets is a small family kennel situated right by the ocean on The Great Ocean Road in Victoria.
