We have owned Italian Greyhounds and Tibetan Spaniel for 18 years and Chihuahuas for six years. Prior to this we owned, showed and bred Shetland Sheepdogs. Barad Kennels was established in the early 1970s when we purchased our first Shetland Sheepdog. We have now bred a number of litters of both Italian Greyhounds, Tibetan Spaniels and more recently Chihuahuas. We enjoy these great little dogs, with our fourth generation of Italian Greyhounds having great success in the show rings.

We are located in Tasmania and are the proud owners of a small number of Italian Greyhounds that live with us as housemates, bed warmers, show mates & occasional parents.
We have been involved with Italian Greyhounds for 18 years.
Our foundation started with a lovely bitch from the Wondoan kennel in Queensland and a stunning girl we imported from the USA in 2009 from Bellagio Kennels. We are ever grateful to Wondoan and Bellagio Kennels for their ongoing support and friendship.
We have now bred over 20 litters over the last 18 years and are extremely proud of the dogs we produce, both those that we show and those that are companion dogs.
The breeding of healthy, socially adjusted confident Italian Greyhounds is our aim and finding fantastic loving homes for any dog that we breed is incredibly important to us.
We currently have a strong show team being campaigned in Tasmania chiefly by the amazing Di Wazny.

We are located in Hobart Tasmania and are the proud owners of a small number of Tibetan Spaniels.
Our foundation bitch is Barrajy Sabreena who came to us from Judy Gard in 2006. From Sabreena we bred Rosie and Dora both born in 2011.
Rosie - Ch Barad Rosemaryinus Offialinus obtained her title in early 2013.
Our Tibetan Spaniels bring us immense joy and we love showing them as a family.
