I am a small breeding and show home to cavaliers of all four standard colours. My dogs and puppies are part of the family and they live in the home with me. They are my companions and pets first. I became involved with ANKC in 2016 showing cavaliers from the very beginning. We have had a lot of fun and success in the show ring at speciality and all breeds level.
The health and longevity of my dogs is at the forefront of my breeding program. Structure is important for the functional health and wellbeing of the dog. I aim to breed cavaliers with a sweet melting expression, to size (5.4- 8.2kg), temperament and type. I utilise a holistic approach of care as this supports their longevity, paying attention to diet, exercise and hygiene.
My dogs are DNA tested for breed specific diseases. Ophthalmologist tested two yearly. Cardiologist tested yearly. I health test until late in life. Patellas are checked yearly by my vet. I am also incorporating the use of MRI screened dogs for Syringomyelia and have commenced a program of screening my own dogs. Bringing new bloodlines to Kamontry is an ongoing focus to improve health, type, temperament, structure and genetic diversity.
Puppy enquires and information on the breed are most welcome. I follow puppy culture methods. At times older dogs do become available as well.
