In 1992, while resident in Chittaway Point near Wyong, north of Sydney, I leased my bitch,"Sars", back to Mick and Laurel Wicks for a litter under the Dobeherr prefix. In return I received pick bitch from the litter. Never in my wildest dreams did I then imagine what she was to become.

At the end of 1994, by which time "Jazz" had her Championship title and one RUBIS All Breeds to her credit, I made a work-related move to Albury, and was persuaded to leave "Jazz" behind in partnership with Doug & Annette Bowe of Firezan Dobermanns.

From that time she never looked back, shown to perfection by Doug and on occasion also shown by Annette, she went on to become the number two Australian dobermann of all time, and remains so to the present, second only to the great Ch Dobeherr Disco Dolly, with a total of 60 BIS/RUBIS wins.

The very first indication of her potential perhaps came when she won Junior in Show at the Queensland Specialty in 1994 under highly respected breed expert and judge, Bill Garnett (USA).

However, she left little doubt when Doug showed her at the 7th Dobermann National in Victoria, early 1995. At just over two years of age, she took out BISS under Mr Graham Hunt (UK). Her litter brother, "Remy" (Grand Ch Dobeherr Gloom Chaser), also showed his future potential, taking out Reserve Challenge Dog.

"Jazz" won a number of Breed Specialties and Utility Group Specialties in the years that followed, showing everyone how it could be done by taking out her third Group Specialty win in September 2002 at just under ten years of age.

She also became the very first ever Australian Dobermann Grand Champion with her win at the New Years Day show in Sydney on January 1st, 1998, co-incident with that title first becoming available to Australian exhibits.

Both "Jazz" and "Remy" became multi- BIS and BISS winners and were great representatives of the breed and superb examples of the quality of dobermann produced by Dobeherr Kennels.
