Judge Profile

Ginnette joined the pedigree dog world in 1989 with Australian Silky Terriers, owning and exhibiting as well as learning all aspects of breeding whilst working in the "Barrian" kennels.

Her first cairn terrier was purchased in 1996, Ch Rawhiti Edwina, with parents from the iconic Uniquecottage kennel. The move to the Terrier ring cemented her love of this fun & feisty group.. Her own EMERALDCITY kennels commenced in 1999. Ginnette has also exhibited Norwich and Skye Terriers.

After visiting Cairn Terrier kennels in the UK, Emeraldcity imported Ch Vanajam’s Pop Star in 2009 and have excellent progeny from him, particularly with litters from Koterana and Kalan kennels. Ongoing collaboration with various cairn terrier kennels in Australia has led to other UK and Swedish based blood lines being incorporated at Emeraldcity.

Ginnette has attended and exhibited at numerous Cairn Terrier specialty shows in Australia and the UK, as well as Crufts. She has also attended All Breed and Cairn Terrier Championship shows in numerous other countries.

Ginnette gained her licence to judge Cairn Terriers in 2011 and has judged in multiple states in Australia and internationally in USA, Russia, New Zealand and Finland. Ginnette and her husband often judge together (Peter Miller is a Toy, Terrier, Non-Sporting and Hound judge).

Also a Junior Handler judge, Ginnette was privileged to judge the talented Junior Handlers of Finland in 2017.

Ginnette attained her full Terrier judging license through the NSW scheme in 2018.

Ginnette has been involved with Breed, Group and All Breeds dog clubs in committee and executive positions and is experienced in dog show management.
