I’m Michelle Perfect, and I established Perfex Dobermanns in the USA in 1998. My journey with Dobermanns began on my 15th birthday when I acquired my first dog. After moving to the USA in 1990, I dedicated nearly 30 years to breeding top-winning Dobermanns. In 1998, I bred my first litter under the PERFEX name and continued to selectively breed, achieving remarkable success with numerous US titles in both conformation and performance.
My breeding program has produced a DPCA Grand Prize Futurity winner, four all-breed Best in Show winners, and multiple Top 20 contenders, with three dogs eligible for DPCA Legacy awards for their accomplishments as producers. Perfex Dobermanns are also renowned for their excellent longevity.
I take immense pride in the positive impact my dogs have made on the breed. A standout is GCH PERFEX CANIS MAJOR, known as Sirius, who has sired 128 US champions, three Grand Prize Futurity winners, and many all-breed BIS winners across several countries. At over 12 years old, he exemplifies the quality of my breeding.
In 2022, I received the inaugural Gwen DeMilta Memorial Trophy for Breeder of the Most Successful Stud Dog at the DPCA National. His progeny are registered in the US, Canada, England, Ireland, Europe, and Australasia. Perfex Dobermanns was even featured in The Dobermann Digest.
Now, having settled in the beautiful Swan Valley, I’m eager to continue my passion for breeding Dobermanns and remain active in showing and performance events.
