We have always had a little pug or 2 as pets since we began with dogs in 2010. They are such a fun and enjoyable breed. We introduced our 1st pedigree, a black bitch imported from New Zealand in late 2018, and then introduced a fawn boy Oslo in 2019. He has since retired. In 2022, Ruby, a fawn daughter of Oslo, joined our family who is adored by our daughters.

Our puggies are all inside and part of our family, as all pugs should be, and each have their own place on the couch watching tv with us.

All puppies are raised inside, under foot and well socialised and started potty training prior to leaving for new homes.

Occasional breeder of pugs. Home of multi BOB winner, BIG and BJIS show winner Kwantoi Just A Tourist. Carrying the line of Tangetoppen’s Gentleman, Gailyn and Poosbury pugs. Karakia has selected pugs that are not just true to type, exhibiting all the pug characteristics we know and love. But are also of excellent temperament. And most importantly healthy dogs. Karakia genetically tests all breeding dogs. Currently all breeding stock are clear of genetic diseases that can be tested for.

First and foremost, my pugs are my pets. A dog that is easy to have around the house with an excellent temperament is of utmost importance to me.

I carefully select my breedings and am very happy with the progress of my lines. My main focus as a breeder is on type, soundness and temperament.

I exhibit my pugs in the showring, winning many in group and show awards. However, they are primarily pets and are included in our everyday lives and nurtured as part of the family. Their health and happiness is paramount.

Fed on high quality royal canin diet and shown in the conformation ring with pride.

Occassionally, pups are available to select families who appreciate the breed and have the time to include them in their lives forever.

We are lucky to live on an 80 acre wetlands block in the beautiful Grampians. Our pugs are an important part of our family and farm life.

RUSSIANBEAR pugs is a small breeder specialising in quality black pugs. We have imported a number of dogs from Russia to begin our program focusing on breed standards of conformation, health, temperament and exceptional quality of black colour. Our imported dogs are already with Champion, Grand and International Champion titles from highly sought after Champion bloodlines in all generations of their pedigrees. We also show many of our dogs and puppies on occasion.

All of our dogs and puppies are kept and raised in our family home and no expense is spared in their care. We do have on occasion puppies available to approved pet homes and we expect the same care from our puppy buyers. Our puppies are sold desexed and with 2nd vaccination and vet health certificate. We conduct various health testing on all dogs used in our breeding program.

Welcome to Damasca Pugs!

In 1999 my family got their first pugs and I have loved only this breed every since, pugs are my life! My ambition is boutique style breeding where pugs are most importantly my best friends and raised in the home as pets but are also show dogs to develop champion lines. I breed for standard/conformation with excellent temperament and health, my focus is on quality not quantity.

I am a registered breeder and exhibitor with Dogs Queensland, All breeding pugs have full DNA profiles with genetic health testing completed to ensure the best health for the breed and all puppies are tested for parentage. While pugs are my major passion, one of my other passions is genetic research to improve the breed.

Puppies available sometimes to the right loving home, conditions may app and will come with pedigree papers, vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, DNA parentage tested, wormed, and a detailed information pack on caring for your new puppy.
