Since our beginnings in 1990, Ozrhode Kennels have endeavoured to breed “true to type” Rhodesian Ridgebacks who epitomize the Breed Standard, exemplifying both function and form. In keeping with the old adage, "from little acorns do oak trees grow" ..... today in testament to our breeding goals, we are honoured with 16 Best Exhibit in Show awards; 20 Runners Up Best in Show awards; 6 Most Successful Breeder in Show awards, along with 5 Grand Champions, 37 Australian Champions or International Champions. We are also honoured to have bred and owned the BREED record holder for Specialty wins in Australia for many years - Gr Ch. Ozrhode Ari Mystic Gypsy ET, who has just been surpassed by the handsome Duke.

Ozrhode Kennels diversified in 2003, with the introduction of a Whippet, followed shortly by a Saluki. These breeds have now multiplied, as they do :o) After much research, our foundational whippet litter was whelped in March 2007.

Sue is an ANKC championship licensed judge for Rhodesian Ridgebacks [2004] and Hound Group [2006]. She is ANKC open licensed for Group 3 (Gun dogs) and Group 6 (Utility).

Established in 1998, we are a small, select Kennel located in South Australia combining quality Australian, European and American bloodlines.

Since 1974, Chilolo Rhodesian Ridgebacks have made their way into people's hearts and into breed record books. To date Chilolo RRs been awarded:

** Best in Show & Runner Up Best in Show All Breeds
** Best in Show and Runner Up Best in Show at RR Specialty shows in UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand
** To date we have bred almost 80 Champions

However, our dogs will always remain first and foremost our family companions. We have the luxury of living on 200 acres so our dogs have plenty of room to run and it is easy to keep them fit and healthy.

Our puppies are born in our house, raised in a large run and from the age of about 5 weeks, they are allowed to run, supervised, in wide open spaces which greatly enhances their physical and mental development. We believe in providing ongoing support and assistance to our puppy buyers for the life of the puppy. We will always take back a dog we have bred if for any reason the owner is unable to keep him/her.

RRs are a wonderful breed, but are not for everyone so please consider carefully before you buy one and feel free to contact us for breed information. We can draw on over 40 years experience!

I've been involved in Ridgebacks since 1985. As well as showing my dogs, we participate in Agility, Obedience, Rally-O and Endurance Tests - many of my dogs have titles on both ends of their names. In 2015 I started Lure Coursing, a sport they enjoy very much.

I've titled 2 home bred Grand Champions and 1 Supreme Champion, who are also Best in Show & Runner Up Best in Show All Breeds winners. My dogs frequently attain placings at Specialities and All Breed shows.

I'm an ANKC judge for Agility, Jumping & Games events, Endurance Tests, as well as Lure Coursing. I'm also an Obedience, Rally & Agility instructor.

Temperment is all important and I aim to breed sound dogs that can do anything. My Ridgebacks have also been photographic models and appeared on stage in a Ballet. All breeding stock is Hip & Elbow Scored, tested for DM & JME and Heart tested

Established since 1989 .Started with a team of hunting ridgebacks and progressed to showing and some obedience. Our main success started with our first big winning dog, Kudu who was a multi best in show winner at all breed level. His many wins include major shows in Melbourne. To this date he is the only ridgeback to win best of breed at 3 different royals and have both placing's in groups including best in group at Hobart Royal.
Kinshasa Rhodesian Ridgebacks, home of #1 RR 2006 #1 RR 2007 Dogzonline, Grand Champion Kinshasa Special K. Breeding quality RR litters occasionally for show, companion and hunting .Kudu is the number one top winning Rhodesian Ridgeback for the past 4 years in his home state of Victoria,and has been in the top 5 in the hound group on Dogzonline for the past 4 years.
Our current Boy Sup & Gr Ch Kinshasa Bronzed Aussie ( Bondi ) was number #1 In Victoria Dogzonline & currently leads the national Ridgeback point score. Our newest memebr to our kennel is GrCh Kinhsasa Golden Firefox ( Sansa ) has taken many in group awards from limited showing. After a 2 year break I bred Sansa to Ch Caprivi run the Gauntlet ( IKE ) and the result was one puppy who we called HULK. We will run this boy on and see how he develops . At his first 3 shows Hulk has won Baby of Group at major show and Baby of show at the RRCV ch show 2019. We are expecting big things from this young boy.

LionsLea Rhodesian Ridgebacks are a small kennel based just outside the Australian Capital Territory, not only passionate about our breed but with a special love for the Livernose.

For optimum health our dogs are raised by the BARF principles and all dogs in our breeding program are AVA hip/elbow scored, heart screened by a cardiologist, and DNA tested for degenerative myelopathy. We have now also started testing for Junior Myoclonic Epilepsy (JME).

Our top winning Ch Veldthund Sabre ET (1988-2002)is behind the pedigrees of many of the most successful Ridgebacks in Australia and Europe. As we believe Ridgebacks should have proven soundness, "Sabre" was the first Ridgeback in NSW to gain an Endurance Title. Notable wins include Best in Show at Specialty, Best in Show Hound Specialty, two RU Best in Show Specialty and three times Dog Challenge at Specialty. Of course multiple Best in Group and Class in Show wins at All Breeds level.

Following in the tradition of Sabre is our wonderful Ch Marmatia Gunella Gusto (Gus). Gus is the Best of Breed Winner at the 2011 Sydney Royal and Best in Show Specialty winner 2011. He lives with our two champion girls Peggy and Safi and our up and coming Disa.

I have been involved in dogs all my life as my grandmother bred and showed dogs and was also a judge, she passed on her passion of dogs to me. I bought my first ridgeback in 2002 and now have 8. We live on five acres in perth WA where my dogs are a very important part of the family, I have bred and titled Australian champions and hope to continue with my second generation of Tannu Ridgebacks. I am currently trialing 2 of my dogs in lure coursing and one has achieved his JC title and now onto his Single Field Title. My dogs and puppies are all raised in the houseand have free run of my 2 acres of garden and are feed a top quality natural diet . My dogs have excellent hip and elbow scores , tested for DM and JME , heart clear, and are all sound and of good temperament.
In all the years l have been breeding all my puppies have been DS free.
