Forsythe's Saga (Imp USA)
Saga is an athletic, well balanced Labrador with a dark chocolate coat and dark eyes and pigment.
Saga is working as a Lab 'n Life dog, and shows an excellent ability to act as an anchor dog. His work with autistic children is calm and non-reactive. His handlers are amazed at his transformation on the beach!
Saga won RCC at 2006 Adelaide Royal Show, and placed in the Open class despite a toe injury in 2007.
At the 2008 Adelaide Royal Show, with superb handling by Mari Lobbestael, Saga won dog CC and Runner-up Best of Breed in a hotly contested competition.
Saga was 3rd in Open Dog under Margaret Brown at SA Lab Club Champ Show in 2009 - despite Ross forgetting to bring his lunch!
Saga is currently pursuing new adventures helping Ross garden and paint. He also loves his time on the beach with the Alex, Matthew and Nick, not to mention his Thursdays with Scott.
At the 2009 SA Lab Club Champ show under breed specialist Margaret Brown :
"Chocolate dog who thoroughly deserved a placement in this
strong class, excellent head and expression, sound
construction overall, with good balance from nose to tail,
first class bone for his size and frame, superb topline and
coat, really liked the temperament on this dog, very attentive
to his handler, moved extremely well."
2010 SA Lab Champ show under Joyce Brabban - Cambremmer Labradors:
"Another chocolate who was 8 yrs old and beautifully put together with the best of heads, good eye, ears nicely placed.
Plenty of bone with good quality right through. Liked him very much."
Saga has retired to look after Ross at the foot of his ladder, under his feet in the kitchen, and at his side whenever he turns around.
