Aust Ch Warhardt Running Bare
Tommy was successfully campaigned in Victoria and South Australia before coming to Tasmania at 3 years of age. In Tasmania he continued his successful show career with Best in Group and class in group awards.
I used him once at stud with outstanding success. From this litter he sired Best In Show whippets both in Australia and Overseas as well as the multi titled agility/jumping/games dog Whipridge Pure Silk CD ADM JDM3 JDO4 GD SD SPD ET. This outstanding son by Tommy is the first and only whippet in Australia to gain his Masters Agility and Masters Jumping titles, he has also represented his State of Tasmania on multiple occasions at the National Agility Trials.
Tommy gained qualifying scores in obedience both at Club Tests and Official Trials.
He was a fun dog and thrilled the crowd in March 2000 with his "rag racing" display when his handlers dressed up as coal miners at a Tasmanian Contest of Champions function where the "Country of Origin Handlers Class" stole the show and on all accounts was the highlight of the night.
Tommy is still playful and enjoying his retirement.
Footnote: Tommy died peacefully in his sleep, his memory will stay with us forever.
