Kearney accomplished a Herding Instinct Certificate, a Pre-Trial title and a pass in HSAs before his first birthday. He was awarded Minor Puppy in Show (Border Collie Club of Tasmania Inc) by Sue Chaytor (NZ) at his first ever show in 2009, earning an invitation to Tasmania's Puppy of the Year Contest. At his second outing eight months later he was awarded Challenge Dog (15pts) Runner Up & Junior In Show by John Birch (NSW) at the BCCT 2010 Championship Show. The next day he qualified in HSAs & HSAd and was runner up in trial on both sheep and ducks. He attained his HSAs on June 26th & HSAd on June 27th, 2010. Kearney promises to be a talented herder as he is kindly disposed to stock. His effortless movement, good bone and biddable temperament are important attributes for a herding career.
