Rally Obedience Champion Lindenbrae Tarfin Halo Raphael CCD RAE RM
Raff is a treasure lively, friendly to everyone and everything and so much fun. He loves to tug and play and retrieve, enjoys his play training, and throws himself bodily into any activity going. And he can chill out too he loves laying around for a cuddle.
He had limited showing , winning his Class at the 2012 Border Collie Open Show (beaten by his sister for Best Minor in Show) and taking Minor in Group at Lancefield Kennel Club Championship Show in January 2013.
Raff commenced his Rally-Obedience career at the 2014 Border Collie Nationals, gaining a pass of 87. He completed his Novice Rally title at the OTEC Rally-O Trial at KCC Park at Easter that year.
Raff's trial work has improved week by week with him securing both his Advanced and Excellent Rally titles in 2015. He worked steadily towards his RAE title (including a couple of rounds scoring 99) completing his RAE title at Wangaratta in May 2016. He had a bit of a rest from trialling for the remainder of 2016 as I recovered from surgery, then focussed on Corey and Tasi's trialling.
Raff ventured into the Obedience ring in April 2017, gaining his Community Companion Dog title with three consecutive passes over two weekends. His 95 at the Easter OTEC trial completed his title and won his class. Fortunately I have learnt from our early forays into Masters Rally, having ruined a couple of promising rounds for him. At Wangaratta in 2017 we managed his first two passes towards his Masters title, completing it later in the year. He completed his Rally Champion Title at Geelong in July 2018. Raff is more of a cuddler than a competitor, and has been happy to settle into what he sees as his main role in life.
