The Rabbit (“kaninchen”) sized dachshund is newly recognised by the ANKC, the smallest variety of dachshund in the FCI show rings.
Our lines are imported from Hungry and Norway and in 2023 from Europe. I cannot thank enough the beautiful specialist rabbit breeders abroad who have supported and mentored me in this new breed endeavour, in Australia. We hope to breed a combination of these beautiful lines to produce healthy, conformationally correct offspring.
We have imported our first Kaninchen (rabbit) little boy Lukas an international Danish & Norwegian champion from Norway.
Our little girl Susanna is from Hungry & we achieved her Australian title in 2022.
We had the honor of showing our 3rd Kanitchen little girl Avrora in Norway in 2022 in which she she took out best of breed, BCC & and fifth place and show out of 130 competitors in Norway.
Avrora arrives in Australia early 2023 she has been imported from Russia & Norway. We are looking forward to show casing these special little dachshunds and are hoping the fraternity will follow.
We will be starting a breeding plan in 2023 and all interested & inquiries are welcome.

Mum is Ch Ulana Adin Dom NRD NRA (Imp SVN), a very pretty and accomplished girl who has achievements in both the show ring and the field. Ulana has produced a Japanese show champion, an Australian show champion, a well-performed Lure Courser, some very handy young working dogs, and an enthusiastic scent detection dog with great retrieving drive. Despite her enthusiasm to work, Ulana also possesses an "off button" making her a very easy dog to live with.

Dad is from frozen semen of my Ch Oakridge Intercooled CCD (AI) - "Diesel" to his friends - one of the very few sons available for breeding of the late great Am Dual Ch AFC Trekker V Grunbaum UDX TDX MH MX VCD3 CGC - still to date the most highly titled GSP in USA. Trekker's bloodlines are still sought after today in USA, for their ability to produce great bird dogs. The litter that I produced from him were no exception. Diesel himself, titled easily with classes in Group and in Show, as well as winning in both show and performance events on a National level. He produced a number of show champions and Best in Show winners, a Supreme Champion, and a number of stylish and well-performed dogs in Obedience, Field, and Retrieving. He was a stylish, biddable, upstanding and powerful moving dog.
