Since acquiring our first Basenji in 2010, we now have a much loved tribe of Nayembe Basenjis who we have enjoyed showing around Australia, with plenty of "frillies" from Group & classes in Group & Show wins, a Best in Specialty Show (Elli), a Runner Up Best in Specialty Show (Sarabi) & a series of Royal sashes between them, along with Lure Coursing just for fun.

In 2016 we bred our first litter of Curlypuppies, from Safiya, & kept Araali our red & white boy, Sarabi & Tukio, red & white, and tri girls. We do not breed every year, & while most of our puppies have gone to loving pet homes, we have some show stars too.

Safi, Yaama, Elli, & our home-bred Sarabi, Araali, Kip, Kito, Jarrah, Kyirrie, Solo, Indi, Nakari, Seka & Tani Jack are Champions. Tukio has her Junior Courser title. Jarrah & Seka are Best in Group winners, & Crufts qualifiers. Malia was Baby Puppy in Show at the BCoNSW Show 2020 & her puppies, Raza (multi class in show wins) & Sala are showing now. We regularly take part in Sydney Dog Lovers Show & Basenji breed promotions.

Our kennel name is Nayembe, from the Lingala language, meaning "I sing".

Our dogs live at home in Tamworth, NSW, and whilst they might be the Barkless Dogs, they can all certainly talk! They make delightful & fascinating companions but please research the breed first. All our dogs' eye health and DNA test results are available. We are members of Dogs NSW and the Basenji Club of NSW.

We believe the puppies need to be supervised, loved and trained 24/7 to ensure the best start in life including exposure to different environments and socialisation. The first 12 weeks in a puppy’s life is a crucial stage of their development.

Neurological stimulation began at Day 3 through to Day 16 followed by a week-to-week age appropriate schedule of enrichment, socialisation and training. Prioritisation is given to providing a stimulating living environment, exercise and active training challenges and balancing all of these components in inside and outside settings. Pups registered with DogsWest, vet checked, microchipped & vaccinated. A puppy pack & pictorial display is provided including a comprehensive information folder on how to nurture and look after your new arrival. All health and genetic testing undertaken for the parents.

one Red Tri (full tail) & one Black Tri,
and four females-
