The Watersedge family has been involved in Show dogs for decades. The first litter under the Watersedge prefix was born in 1996. Our first Finnish Lapphund, Grand Ch. Theldaroy Wild Not Me (Laani) became part of the Watersedge family in February 2002. Watersedge is still able to claim that we are showcasing Australia's youngest Runner-Up To Best in Show at All Breeds level. Laani is the first female in Australia to be awarded the title of Grand Champion, which she maintained for years. Our first Finnish Lapphund litter was born from our first import in 2005. Ch. Fidelis Haltiatar (imp FIN) to FIN/LTU Ch. Fidelis Alias Amicus. Her brood of 6 have gone on to make their mark on the Finnish Lapphund breed in Australia. Watersedge has produced several litters since then. We don't breed that often and when we do it is for a specific purpose. We have been blessed with the first cream puppies to be born in Australasia and also some with more unusual colours and markings. We strive to breed typey, sound, healthy puppies and as such all of our dogs are hip & elbow x-rayed & scored, prcd-PRA tested clear & frequently undergo ACES eye tests. Our puppies are all placed in homes with DNA confirmation of parentage & prcd-PRA clear status. Health results for the parents are readily available to puppy purchasers. Our dogs are treated as members of our family, they are not banished to kennels. Our puppies are house reared. Puppy and breed enquiries are most welcome. www.watersedgekennels.com
After getting our first Finnish Lapphund in 2004 we became "addicted" to the breed. Our Finnish Lapphunds compete regularly in the show ring and train in agility and obedience. They are all expected to pass extensive health testing prior to breeding.
Please contact us for breed information or to meet a Finnish Lapphund in WA.

Yobhonden Kennels is a small, select kennel and we have had great pleasure introducing the Finnish Lapphund into our home.
We are thrilled to be involved with such a versatile, dynamic and fun loving breed. Our lappies have fitted in perfectly with our family life. We have been involved with conformation showing, obedience and herding.
Enquiries regarding this breed are always welcome.
Finnish Lapphunds are an inquisitive breed that enjoy being out and about with their pack and at the end of the day lounging in front of the tv. Our lappie is packed with everything – from enjoying the agility training to roaming along on a walk in the evening. Our first encounter with the breed was in 2009 and the same year we welcomed home our first FLappie.
All our Lappies are Health tested.
We believe in healthy mental and physical stimulisation, and we enjoy taking our dogs along with us. Our dogs are close 'children' and live inside as well as outside.
If you wish to learn more about the breed, feel free to go have a look at our website or send me an email.
All our lappies are retired and we have no future litters planned at this stage.
Stumbling across the breed by chance in 2007, we could never have predicted the impact of the Finnish Lapphund on our lives. They are more than we ever imagined in a companion and as a bonus love training; both for fun and for competition. We attend conformation dog shows and train our dogs in Obedience and Rally-O and do some Agility and Herding.
We are hopelessly devoted to the Finnish Lapphund and now seek to 'share the love' with owners who can appreciate the difference. We have also imported several Finnish Lapphunds to Australia. This includes our foundation girl "Summer" Ch. Lecibsin Sametti RN (Imp UK) who was born in Finland and raised by friends in the UK while waiting out the quarantine requirements for import to Australia. Her quality has been recognised by judges and breeders alike and we're thrilled to have such an exquisite girl at home with us. She brings us joy every day.
We keep our numbers at home small and instead place our puppies in homes where they are well-loved family pets with owners who share our love for the breed and are fully supported by us. Some of these puppies go on to contribute to the future of the breed, leaving a legacy for future generations
We aim to breed only a couple of litters each year so we can ensure they're raised with the very best start we can provide. Details about our dogs and breeding plans are on our website.

We are based in Sydney, on an acreage property with our Lappie family. We enjoy partaking in various activities with our dogs, including: tracking, rally obedience, conformation shows, backpacking and therapy work.
We have extensively imported dogs and frozen semen, to introduce new lines to the Australian gene pool and assist in maintaining population diversity.
We travel to the Nordic countries regularly, to network with other breeders, learn from their experience and be able to better contribute to our breed both in Australia, and internationally.
Our breeding program focuses on type, temperament, health and structure, with extensive use of imported frozen semen. We have developed a puppy training and socialisation program, with contribution from guide dog breeding and training schools, to give every one of our puppies the very best start to life.
We are always happy to speak with and meet people who are looking to add a Finnish Lapphund to their family.
We have litters planned for 2021, please contact us by email for an information pack.
Many years ago I swore that I would never breed dogs again, and then I met my first Finnish Lapphund. The honesty and gentleness of this breed has blown me away. I truly believe here is a breed that can do everything. I show and train dogs as companion, sports, working and therapy dogs, I will endeavor to bring out the best ability of each individual dog I own and work with. All my dogs are raised and live in my home as part of the family.
Driven to succeed, Pawformance is based both in Sydney's Hills District and in Adelaide. Our dogs are first and foremost, treasured members of our family, enjoying their (rather cushy) life, sleeping on beds, being fluffy shadows and generally just getting underfoot around the house. We wouldn’t have it any other way!

We were introduced to Finnish Lapphunds by our friends, although we are originally from Finland this was our first contact with this wonderful breed. We soon had NEUT. CH. Miavig Milla joining our family late 2010. As we grew fonder and fonder to this breed, it was time to add another Lappie to the "heard". CH. Theldaroy Unxpctd Charm, Miina, joined the family in May 2014. Both our girls have had success in the show ring.
Zuleika is a boutique kennel situated in Northern Tasmania. Our dogs live in the home as part of our family and enjoy two acres of rural land to frolick on.
We are home to Tasmania's history making Finnish Lapphund, Benni, as well as our matriarch Fleur, and our baby girl Liina.
We are active participants in the Australian Finnish Lapphund community and are members of the Finnish Lapphund Club of Victoria.
We breed selectively, producing puppies which are sound, healthy and happy. Our puppies are born and raised in the home, where they welcome visitors, become accustomed to household noises and of course enjoy lots of cuddles. We use Puppy Culture protocols to ensure they are given the best possible start to life and join their new families as well adjusted young dogs.
We welcome enquiries regarding puppies for companionship, show and sports. As a boutique kennel, we also rely on families who a willing to allow their Zuleika baby to be a part of our breeding program.
All puppies come DNA tested for relevant hereditary diseases. All parents have been Hip/Elbow Scored and passed an Eye Examination.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a fondness for working dogs. It wasn’t until 2009, after countless hours of research for a suitable working breed, and as if by chance, that I stumbled on a picture of a Finnish Lapphund. I began asking around and sent enquires and finally in 2011 I was blessed with my first Lappie Heidi. I’ve never looked back and since then, have added two more to my clan
Lappies have had such an amazing impact on my life and I hope to bring this same joy and love to many others in the future.
We don’t breed often and aim to keep our numbers at home small so each dog can have the love and attention they deserve. We are always looking for loving homes to help us achieve our dreams by offering a welcoming family and for some, by allowing their dog to contribute to the future of Ehana.
If you would like to know more about us or this versatile breed, or Ehanas plans please feel free to get in contact and we will only be too happy to help

Having first laid eyes on the breed in 2009 and with our first lappie entering our lives in 2010, who would have known where our adventures with Finnish Lapphunds would have taken us!
We are home to gorgeous lappies whom we train with in various disciplines including conformation showing, obedience, tracking, herding, flyball and agility (however their favourite activity tends to be having a cuddle on our bed!).
We will be selectively breeding and aiming to produce structurally and temperamentally sound, healthy, typey and fit for purpose Finnish Lapphunds.
All of our dogs at home are DNA profiled and tested, eye tested, auscultation and echocardiogram cleared (heart ultrasound checked), hip and elbow x-rayed/scored and vet cleared for breeding.
We often attend shows and events around South East Queensland, so feel free to shoot us a message if you are wanting to meet or know more about this special breed.
Our next planned litter is not until some time in 2021.
instagram @bucolickfarm TLDR: These are really great dogs.
We may have puppies in late 2021.
Get in touch via email if you are in SEQ and want to meet a Lapphund, or are interested knowing more about the breed, details of puppy/litter plans or our Puppy Guardian program for South East Queensland only.
We prefer to place most puppies with owners and families who live within 2 to 3 hrs travel of our farm in South East Queensland. This is broadly South to Tweed, West to Toowoomba and North as far as Noosa. Some interstate placements may be OK for experienced homes, so if you like our dogs and live interstate and think you might be fantastic lappie owners, don't be shy about reaching out via email.
We were dog-free busy professionals for 20 years. Then in 2016 we realigned our priorities and bought a farm! Two gorgeous Lapphunds joined the family. We've never looked back.
A lot of research into canine health, temperament and care requirements went into our choice of this breed over any other. We were after a 'forever breed' to be part of our family for a very long time. This is a superb companion breed and a well-chosen puppy would fit well into many different family and home settings. We hope to breed healthy, temperamentally friendly, sound, trainable and breed-typey dogs.
For any dog, any breed, you are encouraged to verify any breeder's BIN number by contacting DogsQLD direct on firstname.lastname@example.org. Ours is QLD BIN 4100199478
