Labrador Silver Coat Colour Warning - The National Labrador Retriever Breed Council (Australia) has issued a position statement for the Silver (or Platinum / Charcoal) Coat Colour. The Labrador only has 3 recognised colours - (Black, Yellow and Liver/Chocolate).

I do not breed Labradors at this stage in life. My Labradors come from Pauline Gill Tapua Labradors.
After not having owned a Labrador for nearly 25 years. I have finally succumbed and purchased 'Luther' - Banderra Lord Basil.
A sweet tempered black dog with, I believe, a lot of potential.
He has been shown by everyone else as the breed seems to always clash with my other breed Schipperkes.
He managed 4th place at the Labrador National 2012 at his first show as a 3 month old puppy, shown by me.
He was Baby in Group under Gundog specialist W Crozier in July 2012, and on 12 August his last day in Baby he was again Baby in group in the ACT under Mrs J Keenan (Vic)shown by me.
Up with the big boys, now.
A delight to live with, amenable, trainable loves everyone.
Thanks to Sue Richards for entrusting him to me. He became a champion very easily and now enjoys watching from the side lines while his smaller mates do their thing.
Lara came to live with us in 2014 Tapua Dream Maker she was quick to get nearly 100 points. But she loves her food and after Pauline and Peter saw how fat she was has gone to Hitler camp to get trimmed down and those final 13 points. Of course she got those final points and is champion "Lara Bingle".Retriever mad loves the water. She should produce fantastic retrieving and working puppies. Oh she is black as well.

I have been showing,training and breeding Labradors for over 40 years and have chocolate,black & yellow Labs. I breed for soundness,temperament & quality from dogs that have had a hip & elbow assessment & DNA testing. My pups are reared in the house on a UNIQUE program that teaches toilet training, basic manners, sound familiarisation, positive socialisation with adults & children and due to the time and constant handling a very strong and trusting bond with people is created.
In addition, I can provide owner education in both the care & training of the pup before it leaves our home.
Due to many years of teaching Infants,Primary & Special Education,I am able to cater for the needs of most families, so that the children as well as the adults, know how to correctly handle, care for and train their puppy. The whole family learns together and gains valuable knowledge to assist them in being competant, caring and responsible dog owners.
I have trained dogs all my life and hold a Certificate 1V, Delta Behavioural Dog Training. Only positive reinforcement is used, with loads of cuddles and praise as the rewards.
When our puppies leave us they are already trained to basic puppy pre school level and we know that their new owners have the knowledge to continue their training, care for them in a GENTLE & SAFE way and fulfil all their physical and psychological needs to ensure that they become a happy, well adjusted family member as well as the best companion you will ever wish for.

We have been exhibiting and using gundogs in the field for 20 years including Labradors.

We are a small family kennel and rarely breed unless we would like to add to our own kennels. We are committed to breeding quality Labradors that have undergone full genetic testing and have excellent hip and elbow scores. We aim to breed temperament, soundness and quality well balanced examples of the breed. Our dogs and babies are well socialised and extremely well loved.

Confirmation today that we are expecting our first Labrador litter for many years.

Proudpaws is a family, not a large breeder.
Our dogs are our family and we do not breed often.
Our dogs are raised on acreage and are well socialised.

Breeding and Rescue Dogs:
Toby our Yellow Labrador started this adventure off.
We have been through so much together.
as a behavioural trainer with Toby at my side we have trained and helped Resuce dogs for rehabilitation for many years.
We also have the privilege to place some of our puppies in Service/Therapy homes and to help train them up.

Our goal in breeding is to breed both intelligent and calm dogs, designed to be part of almost any family and Assistant or Therapy Work.
Our dogs are our family and their health and well being comes first.
We also have a strict Proudpaws family agreement in place, ensuring in the event a family can no longer care for their dog due to unforeseen circumstances, they are able to return their dog back to us at any time in their dogs life.
We will ensure to the best of our ability no dog from us will end up in the pound like our fellow rescue dogs have been.
All Puppies are temperament tested before leaving us, and start basic training such as toilet training.
and each puppy has the option to start their basic obedience training before leaving us at 8 weeks.
