The Lagotto is a non-shedding, active medium-sized breed. They are very loyal to their owner/s, extremely smart, very social, and loving which makes them the perfect family companion. Our success as a registered breeder has been with the support of our mentor breeder Duoforza and world leaders in canine reproduction Monash Veterinary Clinic headed by Dr Stuart Mason. Rustufarion is a small Lagotto kennel dedicated to breeding for excellent temperaments and sound conformation along with correct breed type. Our aim is to selectively breed Lagottos to participate in conformation shows, obedience, agility and most importantly become valued family companions. All dogs included in our breeding program are screened for known genetic disorders and hip x-rayed and eye tested. Our dogs are raised in a family environment and our puppies are well socialised before they leave for their new homes. Rustufarion is proud to be a Advance Ambassador.

Castagnetta translates to "Little Chestnut Forrest" which is synonymous with the Lagotto Romagnolo I spent quite a few years researching and learning about the Lagotto Romagnolo before I acquired my girl, Pearl. I have young children with allergies so I needed to make sure the Lagotto Romagnolo was going to be right for our family - having the correct temperament for being around young children and also having a coat that wasn't going to affect the allergies in our family. Pearl (Ch Duoforza Olympia) came to us in 2016 and was raised in our family of 3 young children, a Boxer and a Shih Tzu - she fit in perfectly! I also took the plunge and started showing her, we learnt together and made many mistakes along the way, but it was always fun and we both enjoy it. She got her Champion title in 2018 and we still show whenever time allows. I have a facebook and Instagram page with lots of photos of Pearl and her acheivements

We are delighted to announce the anticipated arrival of Lagotto puppies from ‘Sara’ and 'Teddy'. We currently have a white male available offering him for sale at $2500. Here at Rustufarion we are committed to the health of our breeding dogs and understand the importance this has in raising genetically healthy puppies. Our lagottos have been screened for the known and genetically testable disorders evident in the Lagotto. Screening breeding animals prior to breeding will ensure these preventable disorders do not affect your puppy from Rustufarion. Further health checks of our breeding dogs includes screening for Hip Dysplasia. We do everything possible to produce puppies with sound temperaments and confirmation and this has been factored into the selection of a suitable sire for these puppies. For this reason we also raise new born puppies in our home where they receive constant supervision, attention and interaction within a busy home. During the first weeks we focus on raising our puppies within a warm environment and commence neurological stimulation. Our puppies are pedigree registered with Dogs NSW as well as being vet checked and vaccinated, microchipped and come with 6 weeks of puppy health insurance. Three of our lovely lagotto ladies decided to bless us with puppies before the end of the year and we have two puppies to find great homes for, both adorable little boys. Zelda's baby is cream with apricot markings. He's a sweet boy who loves to cuddle. Winnie's boy is shiny white with brown patches. He's a sturdy little thing with an outgoing personality. Both can leave home before Christmas or we can hold on the farm until mid January if you have holidays planned. We have been blessed with some beautiful Lagotto Romagnolo, with excellent temperament, to start with them in the show ring! I am so happy with what we’ve achieved in our first few years with this breed ( we also have WHW Terriers) And now we finally have our own litter of little curly puppies from our amazing foundation bitch ‘Callie’. Born on Christmas Eve 2024. Callie is 3 and has had an exceptional career, becoming an Australian champion at 9 months, grand champion at 2 years and is also the first Lagotto to attain both her A2O and C.I.B titles!! She was Best in Show at the Lagotto Romagnolo breed specialty show, Sydney Royal in 2023 and has also won several Best in Groups, runner up Best in groups and Class in show awards. But the most important thing is that she is an absolute delight and wins hearts wherever she goes! Puppies sire ‘Ziggy’ JWW '23, EUJW'23 Aust Ch Bombadee Lucky Strike (IMP POL) arrived from Europe at the end of 2023 and also has an amazing, friendly temperament and a coat curl to to die for! This litter was bred for ourselves to have progeny of this wonderful girl out showing in 2025 but we may have a couple looking for new homes in 2025 so enquiries are welcome @lahdedah_lagotto
