Narbrisse - located in Adelaide - is a top Briard kennel in Australia. Liz Bennett has been proudly breeding and campaigning Briards continuously for 44 years and her current dogs are a successful and carefully selected combination of leading UK, European and Australian bloodlines.
Liz has a number of highly titled Briards. Prior to the COVID-19 hiatus, Narbrisse was campaigning up to 10 show Briards with several regularly attracting awards. Since March 2020, opportunities to campaign dogs have been far more limited and challenging with so many travel restrictions and show cancellations. Notwithstanding this, we are currently campaigning three very promising Briards.
All Narbrisse breeding stock are hip scored and CSNB tested to ensure we maintain soundness in our bloodlines.
In recognition of the historical “working” ethic and purpose of the breed, we strive to maintain this through careful and planned breeding. Narbrisse has imported a number of quality Briards to complement and enhance the breed's bloodlines in Australia.
When we have Briard puppies available we check to ensure the new owners understand the breed and have an appropriate set-up to welcome their new dog and we maintain an on-going interest in all Briards we place elsewhere – whether in a pet home, or as show dogs. Our love for Briards has extended over thirty years and during this time we have exhibited and promoted our breed in the show ring throughout NSW with great success. Our two recent dogs, Boots and Puddles have performed exceptionally well in Conformation Shows, winning multiple age groups. Of particular note was Boots’ performance in winning a Best in Show award as a Junior, dog. This success has generated within us a desire to spread our good fortune and success to others by commencing a breeding program under the breeder’s prefix Coevante.
Our aim is to promote the breed through developing sound and well-tempered dogs, that demonstrate the true characteristics of this breed which has been described as a “a heart wrapped in fur”.
We are very fortune to announce that our first litter will be due on 2nd May 2022.

We, Andreas and Carmen both originally from Germany and living in the beautiful surroundings of Adelaide/South Australia since 2005, have established the kennel CARMANDY BRIARDS in 2014. We are aiming to breed high quality Briards for the love and enjoyment of these wonderful breed.

Our dogs are above all family companions and of course live in the house with us. Our focus is on maintaining the breed characteristics and not on producing numbers and of course we are testing for hereditary diseases!! Puppies are born and raised in the house, with permanent human interactions. We also raise our puppies with the puppy culture program from day 3 of their life, including Early Neurological Stimulation, Emotional Resiliency Exercises, Safe Early Socialisation, The Enrichment Affects, Puppy Parties, Puzzle Games and Problem Solving, Anti Aggression Protocols, Leash Walking, Clicker Training, Potty Training, Crate Training, Manding, Problem Prevention and much more... Aubrey Briards founded during 2006. Our family enjoys exhibiting and sharing our lives with this lovely breed. We do show our Briards but the last few years while focusing on starting our human family we have focused on training and enjoyment of the breed outside of the show ring.
Our Briards are renowned for their friendly outgoing personalities. It has been so enjoyable for us to share this breed with many people and embrace this beautiful creature.

Our foundation stock came from a well-known Australian kennel Tiahart. We imported our 2 girls CH Tiahart Chai Latte and half-sister CH Tiahart Dejavoo from Jo in NSW.
Canada came CH Chaotics Dexter Down Under and from UK, Gilcoru’s Wirra Wirra d’brie and Triskeles Ruby Tuesday.
In recent years we have imported Frozen semen from UK’s Kshan Kool Kriminal and Elite Briard Embrujo Imp Spain and we imported Nikita de la Manoliere (France) as a pup.

Our Briards have all necessary health tests and DNA testing and profiling.
Our dogs speak for themselves. Our home is open for people to come meet the family and enjoy the Briards. We aim to breed top quality, healthy outgoing Briards. All our dogs are raised in the house with great socialising. Our daughters help with the training of pups.

The Glenine prefix has been breeding working dogs since first being registered in 1948. We are now second generation registered breeders, with hopes to pass on this wealth of knowledge to a third generation.

Briards are first and foremost a working dog. They love to work and to please their human families. They are just as happy in the paddock as on the couch, but need leadership.
We breed to the standard for a well balanced (both mentally and physically) and well put together dog that can be a loving member of the family as well as being able to compete in desired disciplines, be it the show ring, herding etc.

We currently have puppies that will be able to go into their new homes end of July.

The cost of our puppies is $3,500 and this includes registration, immunisation, micro-chipping and vet check prior to departure.

We have been breeding and showing Basset Hounds now for over 50 years and have imported lines from England, Ireland and the US. We recently won Best in Show at the Basset Hound National held in Victoria in November, as well as Best in Show at the Basset Hound Clubs Specialty Shows in NSW and QLD.
